Jericho Road Georgia began in 1996 with the vision to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus through Gospel music. While reaching out to Churches in the Kingsland, Georgia area, opportunities opened up throughout southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. The demand for their unique sound continued to grow in the next two years, which led to their first recording “The Journey”. The upbeat music continued with the next recording “Set Free”, which was released in 2002. The positive response to these two recordings has encouraged the group to initiate plans in preparation for their next recording project sometime next year. As the group continues to reach out, now throughout the southeastern US, their Christian message remains the same as in the beginning.

The sounds of Jericho Road exhibit three-part harmonies in genres that include traditional gospel, inspirational, uplifting praise, and various blends of modern gospel music. Some compilations reach into contemporary gospel, while others reflect country, soul or folk sounds. Each member is featured in solos, bringing a refreshing variety to their programs. Favorite highlights of the groups’ programs are the acapella numbers, which exhibit their high quality vocal arrangements. One goal of the group is to make all songs unique to themselves and to the audiences. In concerts, listeners are blessed with some recognizable traditional favorites as well as new numbers found on Jericho Road’s recordings.

Danny Brown, Sr. - Baritone

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was 9 years old. In April 1982, I was licensed into the Gospel Ministry. I have served numerous churches as a full-time and part-time Minister of Music in North Florida and Southeast Georgia. My wife Sheryl and I have two children, Danny Jr. and Brandi. I am currently a member of First Baptist Church of St. Marys, where I am actively involved in the music ministry as well as serving as deacon.

Ted Lewis - Lead

I am originally from Baxley, Georgia, where I was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. At the age of eight, I became a Christian and began to discover the spiritual and musical riches of inspirational songs. For ten years in the contemporary gospel recording group The Expressions, my siblings and I recognized the uplifting influence of gospel music. I now serve at First Baptist Church in Kingsland, Georgia as audio/video director. My three sons are Dalton, Trevor, and Caleb. In Jericho Road I am truly blessed, and I always look forward to sharing in song and testimony.

Craig Mahaffie - Tenor

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 17 years old. He is a true friend and a wonderful Lord and Savior. It is an honor and priviledge to serve Him. We at Jericho Road GA Ministries take our Christian witness very seriously and I have been blessed to be in a group of men who love the Lord and will not compromise their faith. Our mission is to lead lost souls to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to minister to His church body in His name. I am married and my wife, Teresa and I have two children, Justin and Rayel. Glory to Jesus Christ our Lord!
